MOV Restaurant Week

by Chelsea Ayers

Yesterday kicked off the first day of the inaugural restaurant week of the Mid-Ohio Valley. The event is taking place Feb. 27- March 4 during dinner. This is the first restaurant week for the MOV. Thirteen restaurants from three different towns are participating in the event, which is taking place to bring in first time customers, recognize the locally owned independent restaurants and support local businesses in the area. Pre-purchased tickets are not needed for this event, but reservations are recommended.

Each restaurant has a three-course pre-fixe menu that has a special price of $30, not including tip and tax. Meaning you can pick between two appetizers, two entrées and two desserts. With eight restaurants in Marietta, four in Parkersburg and one in Williamstown, this event gives people the opportunity to explore the area and support local businesses. With the price of just $30 you can finally taste new foods and find a new place to dine or go back to an old time favorite.

The participating restaurants include:  Austyn’s Restaurant, Boathouse BBQ, CJ’s Italian Kitchen, Davinci’s, JP Henry’s, Spagna’s, Mango, Marietta Brewing Co, River Town Grill, Spats at The Blennerhassett Hotel, The Galley, The House of Wines and The Levee House.

Be sure to share pictures and your experience with the MOV Restaurant Week on social media using the hashtag #movrestaurantweek. You can find a full menu on the MOV Restaurant Week’s Facebook page.
