MAC Club Returning
By Gabriel Haynes
The Media and Communications Club (MAC Club) is coming back to WVU Parkersburg after two years. The MAC Club has been known in the past for hosting WVUP campus events, leading projects, and taking club trips. Trips have included the Newseum in Parkersburg, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and National Public Radio (NPR) in Charleston, WV. Events and trips will be voted on from selections based on the club budget. The club plans to meet once a week.
According to the current club advisor, Logan Mace, the goal of the club is to allow students with a major in the media field to understand their career more and bring students together to do activities outside of a classroom. This is not limited to just students in a Communications and Media Studies (CMS) program. Students who simply have an interest in CMS are allowed to join as well.
According to an email by Logan Mace, the first meeting will occur on March 22 at 12:15 in room 2201 to discuss elections and details.
