Winter’s Palate: Christmas Crack
by Jessica Madison
The holiday season is upon us, and with that, always comes lots of cooking and baking. It is also a time for hustle and bustle. So, I am going to give you a recipe for what I call, “Christmas crack.” It is a simple recipe that can be adapted to your liking. Plus, the kids can help with this one.
Ingredients:
- 1 block of white chocolate melting candy
- 1 bag of M&M’s (Christmas colors)
- 1 Cup of pretzel sticks broken up
- 1 Cup of crushed oreos
Directions:
Lay out wax paper on a baking sheet and set aside. Next, melt the block of white chocolate as per package directions. Mix the M&M’s, crushed Oreos and broken pretzel sticks together on the baking sheet. Once the chocolate is melted, pour it over the mixture and make sure it is all coated. Let the mixture harden, then bust it up and put it is baggies.
With this you can add any other kind of candy you would like to. If you wanted to make it a little healthier, you could put dried cranberries or other fruit in it.
