Too Stressed for School

Finals are around the corner, and college students are biting fingernails and sweating profusely. For some, this could be the difference between a passing grade and a failing one. Stakes this high cause anxiety, twitching nerves and stress. Fret not, as there are ways to avoid stress, or at the very least, keep the stress from building up and exploding like Mount St. Helen.
While in the midst of studying, remember to always take breaks every now and then. Turn on Netflix and watch an episode of favorite show, take a quick nap in-between course study and fuel your body with the best kinds of nutrition.
One way to relax your body and mind is to take a hot shower or drown your muscles in a bubble filled bathtub. Maybe, throw in a nice book or some candles to complete the heavenly ambience.
Exercise has been proven to release dopamine and serotonin. So, for those with a gym membership or a pair of running shoes, get up off of your couch and immerse yourself in sweat filled clothing and a clear mind. Yoga is also a helpful way to clear ones’ mind. If you know a few poses, stretch out your body in between chapters.
So, there you have it, here are three easy ways to make sure you don’t over think, stress or breakdown during finals week. Be sure to try out one or all three of these techniques and get those As.
