Dude, Where is My Degree
by Kyle Kessell
The fall semester is underway and as some students are starting their collegiate journey, some students are finishing up. For those finishing up, and would like to apply for graduation, the deadline is Friday, October 20.
Applications must be done online by logging into your OLSIS account. Once you are there, select the Student’s Records tab. Upon clicking the tab, if you notice that the degree, or major, listed is incorrect please contact the Records Office before completion.
If you miss the deadline, don’t stress! A late application can be processed, but the student must meet the correct criteria. The student must be fully admitted into WVU Parkersburg with zero holds on their student record. They need to make an appointment with their academic advisor as well as get approval from the Vice President, Student Services, or the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs. The application will then be turned into the records office to be review after the applications of all on time are reviewed.
A late graduation applicant may receive their degree December, May or August and will not eligible for December commencement, nor will their name appear in the commencement program.
For any further questions you can contact the Records Office at 304-424-8310. Let us hope everyone gets their applications in on time and start their illustrious life after WVU Parkersburg!
