In-State Tuition Offered to Ohio Students

WVU Parkersburg now offers in-state tuition rates to all Ohio residents regardless of their program of study or location. These new rates reduce tuition fees for all Ohio students following a degree program by nearly 40 percent.
“Based on specific reciprocity agreements we’ve had with the state of Ohio, we’ve been able to offer in-state tuition to some of our programs, but we are now able to provide these rates to all Ohio residents regardless of what they study or how long they choose to attend WVUP,” Anthony Underwood, Vice President of Student Services, said.
Currently, WVU Parkersburg offers the lowest bachelor degree tuition rate in the state of West Virginia and is ranked in the top 50 most affordable four-year college in the nation. Offering Ohio residents in-state tuition rates was an obvious choice in continuing to provide a more affordable education.
“We want our programs to be affordable and accessible to our communities on both sides of the river,” Underwood said.
In early April, the WVU Parkersburg Board of Governors approved in-state tuition rates for all online-only degree programs, regardless of location. The decision to offer these rates for all programs on campus came soon after.
