North Bend State Park Offers Outdoor Adventures

If you have ever wanted to get away and enjoy the outdoors but did not have the time to travel hours away, then North Bend State Park is the place for you to go. North Bend is conveniently located roughly 30 miles east of Parkersburg, and with the amenities the park has to offer, it makes the park a great weekend getaway for two or the whole family.

North Bend is a great place for outdoor adventures. Throughout the park there are multiple opportunities including; fishing streams, hiking trails, a 29 room lodge, nine modern cabins, two campgrounds, picnic shelters, a public swimming pool, a 305 acre lake, recreational opportunities, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, conference rooms and the North Bend Rail Trail which stretches for 72 miles.

Another great feature that the park has to offer is Quest, which is a customizable outdoor experience. Quest allows guests to choose what they want to experience. A shuttle service makes it easier for you to get your gear and everyone in your party to where you need to go. The park has the option for repelling/rock climbing, kayaking/canoeing, an overnight float trip, backpacking/hiking, backcountry camping, nature interpretation, biking, indoor/outdoor yoga and navigation. With this feature, you are able to really enjoy what the park has to offer without paying for something you do not want to do. You can personalize your stay and truly experience the outdoors.
