Companies and local supporters can donate to different funds, making it a unique opportunity to truly give back to the community. Contributors can donate to academic program support funds, the library, faculty development, student activities, lecture and culture series, campus improvement, capital projects, naming opportunities, unrestricted funds and student scholarships.
The scholarships can go towards students needs, emergencies, books and supplies. The scholarships can make it or break it when it comes to someone finishing college. The foundation gives out nearly $220,000 a year to about 120 students per semester.
To apply for scholarships, students that already have an OLSIS log in can access the application online. Students can also get a paper application in the student services or Foundation offices. The deadline for the Fall 2017-2018 scholarships is March 30 and will be awarded in May or June.
