WVU Parkersburg Spring Tuition Update

by Rebecca Rhodes

Free merchandise, finding $20 in the bottom of the laundry basket and realizing a new series was added to Netflix are just a few of the things that excite college students. However, WVU Parkersburg students will be ecstatic in finding out that financial aid, third party scholarships and waivers have been posted to OLSIS accounts by Dec. 29.

Yes, it is time to drag out the long-forgotten OLSIS login information because students must sign into the system to see if financial aid covers their spring tuition and fees.

Here is a step-by-step guide to access an OLSIS account and view charges:

  1. Go to wvup.edu.
  2. Click the OLSIS link at the bottom of the homepage.
  3. Login to the OLSIS system. The default login user ID is the student’s social security number, and the PIN is the student’s birthdate.
  4. Once logged in, click Student Records.
  5. Click Student Accounts.
  6. Choose Account Detail for Term and Spring 2017.

The “Account Detail for Term” lists all charges for the spring semester at the top of the screen along with authorized financial aid at the bottom. The Account Balance net of Authorized Financial Aid indicates how much a student is responsible for paying.

Students may pay by cash, check, credit card or an installment plan to the Business Office (room 1112). The plan requires a 25 percent down payment and a signed contract to pay the remaining balance in three monthly installments. To beat the hassle, tuition can be paid online by clicking here.

Failure to pay will result in an automatic withdraw from spring courses on Dec. 30.

If a student has a negative amount showing in their “Account Balance net of Authorized Financial Aid”, the student will receive a refund. Refund checks may mean enough money in the bank to keep the Taco Bell addiction alive for one more semester.

For more information, visit the Business Office in room 1112 or call 304-424-8223
